About Michael Gottleib, D.M.

 
 

Mike received a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix in 2006. The topic of his dissertation was Humanistic Leadership: Emotional Intelligence and Team Learning, a study of the importance of human factors in team learning.

Mike continued his sports coaching interests by coaching high school, college, and club lacrosse teams, and by organizing a Navy Alumni lacrosse team (The Old Goats)that participates in the annual Vail, Colorado tournament. He was honored as one of the significant contributors to the 25 year history of the tournament.

 

The US Lacrosse Foundation selected Mike to coach a Grand Masters team at the 1998 World Lacrosse Games in Baltimore. He was inducted into the Northern California Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2010 for his contribution to the lacrosse community as player, coach, referee, and administrator.

Active in the Helena community, Mike is a past president of the Helena Advertising Federation, past board member of the [Mikal Kellner] Foundation for Animals, and the Montana Wilderness Association. Mike is a pilot, and enjoys Montana's open spaces and unspoiled wilderness.

A BALTIMORE MARYLAND native, Mike is a graduate of the US Naval Academy. His lifelong study of coaching as a critical leadership skill was triggered by early experience as a member of Academy teams in soccer and lacrosse competing for national collegiate championships.

After leading Marines for five years in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mike earned degrees in Art from the University of California, Berkeley; and Graphic Design from the California College of Arts, Oakland, CA. Managing a studio to serve corporate identity needs evolved into organization development consulting for San Francisco Bay Area businesses.

He pursued his interest in business leadership by earning an MBA in Marketing from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. This diverse background in engineering, arts, and business are distinctive; a proven asset for effective problem solving.

IN 1992 MIKE MOVED G3 to Helena, Montana. Since 2001, Mike has been a faculty member for University of Phoenix facilitating leadership classes for the Graduate School of Business. He also is a faculty member for Walden University as a methodologist for doctoral research.
